    Mercom India is currently seeking a Web Designer/Developer to join its team. The Web Designer/Developer will play an integral role in developing and maintaining our public-facing websites. The ideal candidate will thrive in a team environment that requires strong problem-solving skills, innovation, and attention to detail.

    Responsibilities

    • Provide expertise with Sanity, NEXT JS, ReactJS, Google Ad Manager, WordPress, HTML, CSS, MySQL, JavaScript, JQuery, PHP, and WooCommerce.
    • Develop, deploy, and maintain our main WordPress websites.
    • Enjoy working in a highly collaborative environment as an individual contributor.
    • Experience with PHP & React Web Frameworks.
    • Experience with responsive design/development.
    • Must be familiar working with WordPress themes and plugins.
    • Experience with building databases
    • Constantly improve and build new add-ons to attract readers
    • Write clean, maintainable code and adhere to best practices.
    • Attend daily project meetings and calls as required.
    • Ability to ramp up quickly.
    • Social media integration.
    • Proficient in search engine optimization
    • Email marketing integration
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • A passion for learning new things and technologies is a must
    • Experience in implementing and managing SEO (Search Engine Optimization) helpful.
    • Would consider either Part-time or Full-time

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in web design
    • Proficient in Photoshop and other graphics tools (Illustrator, Image Ready, etc.)
    • Deep understanding of HTML, CSS, JQuery
    • 2 to 5 years of experience with Sanity, NEXT JS, ReactJS, Google Ad Manager, WordPress, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery, PHP, and MySQL.
